Beestenmarkt

Everyone who knows Delft even a little bit knows where to find the Beestenmarkt. Winter or summer, this great square is a hotspot where people meet and have a great time. Naturally, you’ll find that it’s surrounded by a wealth of eateries. Typical Delft hangouts are Kobus Kuch, Belvédère, Plein 11, and Bar Sil. Besides these, you’ll find popular chain restaurants such as De Beren, La Cubanita, Fratelli, and Ribsfactory. Cuisines for every taste! Don’t forget the stroll around the Beestenmarkt when visiting Delft.

Doelenplein

The Doelenplein is one of Delft’s hidden gems. This intimate square is just on the edge of the city centre and the lighting, the bunting in the trees, and the large iconic vase lamp make this square many people’s favourite. The restaurants here offer a variety of cuisines. Savour Spanish tapas at LEF Restaurant & Bar, GRK & ZO is a delicious Greek restaurant, and you can take a culinary journey around the world at Groots Café HANNO! Discover this hidden Delft gem and have a great time.

Markt

Take in the amazing views of the Nieuwe Kerk and Delft’s Stadhuis while enjoying your coffee, lunch or dinner. Visit any one of the restaurants or cafés on De Markt square for an enjoyable meal. Cosy restaurants De Sjees, De Waag, and Het Boterhuis are right behind the Stadhuis. Centrally located on De Markt square, you can have a delicious lunch or a larger meal at Het Konings Huys, Bagels & Beans, or Lunchcafé Van 9 tot Zeven. These are by far not the only eateries on this square, so make sure to check them all out.

Brouwplein

The name refers to the breweries once located here, so needless to say, the Brouwplein is where you can get the best beers! Here you find Delfts Brouwhuis and Café De Oude Jan, named after its neighbour, the Oude Kerk. Delfts Brouwhuis still includes the local brewery Delftse Brouwers where they regularly brew new types of beers and flavours for you to taste! Apart from beer, the Brouwplein is a great spot for lunch, drinks, or dinner. No matter when you come, the Brouwplein is always bustling!

Along the canals

Away from the squares, the canals in Delft are also lined with amazing restaurants. The Voldergracht, for example, is where you find hotspots Kek and Pleck. These trendy eateries offer cakes, hearty sandwiches, and delicious juices. ’t Postkantoor and Bombina are located on the Hippolytusbuurt. Restaurant ‘t Postkantoor has been around for 115 years and is a great favourite amongst the Delft residents as well. Bombina, with its sunny terrace, offers a Mediterranean menu with a unique twist. At night, San Marco on the Brabantse Turfmarkt serves the best Italian pizzas, or you can share plates of Italian antipasti and Spanish tapas at Lakila on the Vrouwenregt.
