Kinderdijk
Kinderdijk - 40 minutes from Delft
People often think of windmills when they think of the Netherlands. Kinderdijk is one of the most beautiful villages in the Netherlands and is world-famous for its windmills. The 19 Kinderdijk Windmills were designated an official UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The history of Kinderdijk is also the story of the struggle against the water. You can drive from Delft to Kinderdijk in about 45 minutes.
De Keukenhof
Lisse - 40 minutes from Delft
The Keukenhof in the bulb-growing district of Holland is the most beautiful spring park in the world, and has to be seen to be believed! With more than seven million tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, you can immerse yourself in 32 hectares of floral fragrance and colour. The Keukenhof is open each year from late March to the end of May. It takes less than one hour to get there by car from Delft.
