The Delft Tile Men - Walkingroute Ceramics
Artwork in Lausbergstraat
Over 1,300 inhabitants of Delft have participated in the artwork the ‘Delft Tile Men’, including many children from primary schools in Delft. Each of them created a large bead from a handful of clay from the rail zone. All these shapes were incorporated by artist Marijke Gémessy into a single work of art: three Delft tile men. The ‘Delft Tile Men’ was inspired by the figures that can be seen on Delft blue tiles.
